The Giants have been a solid bunch at home and I think they have an advantage as the Red Sox were in an extra inning game that they won against the Rockies now they travel further west and playing a game 2 hours later than they normally would. The Red Sox are already banged up with guys like Drew, Lowell and Hermida out, Ortiz as questionable probably won't play any how without the DH. This is a weaker line up already. Victor Martinez and Youk are probable, but will play but aren't 100%. Meanwhile you have Jonathan Sanchez on the mound who has a 4-2 record and a 2.32 ERA at home.
Giants will face Wakefield who really is hit or miss and so far it's been miss in his career vs. the Giants as he's gone 9.2 IP given up 11 ER. The Giants at home have a .254 average 4.41 runs per 9 but what's more impressive is their pitching backed by a1.96 bullpen ERA. That compares to Boston's 6.48 bullpen ERA on the road. Giants have the advantage here.
